Telangana Reservoirs Below Normal; Nagarjunasagar, Singur At Lowest

The Hindu · india

Central Water Commission data reveals that major reservoir systems in Telangana are holding substantially less water than their normal storage levels. The Nagarjunasagar and Singur projects have recorded critically low water storage, with Nagarjunasagar at just 29.68% of its live capacity and Singur at the lowest among eight monitored reservoirs at 11.06%. Other reservoirs like Sriram Sagar and Jurala also show significantly reduced levels compared to normal and last year's storage. This situation highlights a widespread water scarcity issue across the state's key water sources.
