Tensions persist in Manipur's hill districts following violent clashes between two communities, which have now claimed a total of nine lives. Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh has appealed to citizens to maintain peace and restraint, while directing authorities to swiftly bring the situation under control. The recent incidents, primarily occurring and in Kamjong, Ukhrul, and Kangpokpi districts, have led to significant loss of life and property. Authorities have imposed strict restrictions and deployed additional security forces to affected areas to restore law and order.
