CSL Lays Keel For Navy's Next-Gen Missile Vessels

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has laid the keel for the first of six next-generation missile vessels (NGMV) for the Indian Navy. Vice Admiral Sanjay Sadhu performed the ceremony on Friday, September 18, 2026, in Kochi. These high-speed vessels will be equipped with advanced weapons and sensors, including surface-to-surface missiles. The NGMVs will enhance India's offensive capabilities against enemy warships and provide defensive support for naval operations.
