Venkatagiri's Poleramma Jatara festival begins with royal rituals and government funding

The traditional Poleramma Jatara festival in Venkatagiri town, Tirupati district, has commenced with colourful rituals. Minister for Endowments Anam Ramanarayana Reddy participated, formally handing over silk vestments on behalf of the State government. The government has sanctioned ₹50 lakh for the festival, releasing ₹40 lakh initially. Devotees and donors have contributed gold ornaments, a crown, hands, and feet for the deity. The Minister also announced a ₹1.70 crore fixed deposit and a ₹25 lakh deposit for temple expenses.

तिरुपति जिले के वेंकटगिरि शहर में पारंपरिक पोलरम्मा जतारा उत्सव रंगारंग रीति-रिवाजों के साथ शुरू हो गया है। देवस्थान मंत्री अनम नारायण रेड्डी ने राज्य सरकार की ओर से रेशमी वस्त्र सौंपकर औपचारिक रूप से इसमें भाग लिया। सरकार ने उत्सव के लिए ₹50 लाख मंजूर किए हैं, जिसमें से ₹40 लाख शुरू में जारी कर दिए गए हैं। भक्तों और दानदाताओं ने देवी के लिए सोने के गहने, एक मुकुट, हाथ और पैर दान किए हैं। मंत्री ने मंदिर के खर्चों के लिए ₹1.70 करोड़ की फिक्स्ड डिपॉजिट और ₹25 लाख की जमा राशि की भी घोषणा की।
