Electric vehicle registrations in India reached an all-time high of 3.3 lakh units in September, marking the fourth consecutive month exceeding the 3-lakh threshold. This sustained momentum was driven by record sales in both electric two-wheelers, which saw 2.07 lakh units registered, and electric passenger vehicles, with approximately 36,000 units sold. Major manufacturers like TVS Motor and Bajaj reported significant year-on-year growth in their electric two-wheeler sales. The increasing adoption of EVs is attributed to a wider model selection, improved charging infrastructure, and growing consumer confidence in electric mobility.
