PSG vs Lyon Football Match Postponed Due To Paris Protests

BBC World · world

Paris St-Germain's Ligue 1 match against Lyon has been rescheduled to Monday, as Paris braces for further protests. The fixture was originally set for Sunday evening but was moved after French police prohibited it from taking place. Authorities are preparing a major security operation for demonstrations planned for Saturday, which saw 550,000 people protest last week. The postponement also accounts for the NFL match between Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints at the Stade de France.
