Two Indian Labourers Held Hostage in Tamil Nadu After Job Scam

Two labourers from Chhattisgarh's Balod district were allegedly taken to Tamil Nadu under the guise of a job offer and held captive. Their families reported that they were promised work at a biscuit factory in Nagpur but were instead transported to Tamil Nadu and forced to work. The accused demanded money for their release, and the families transferred ₹16,000 via PhonePe. Despite the payment, the labourers were not freed, prompting the families to file a complaint with the police and district administration for their safe return.

छत्तीसगढ़ के बालोद जिले के दो मजदूरों को नौकरी का झांसा देकर तमिलनाडु ले जाया गया और वहां उन्हें बंधक बना लिया गया। उनके परिवारों ने बताया कि उन्हें नागपुर की एक बिस्किट फैक्ट्री में काम का वादा किया गया था, लेकिन इसके बजाय उन्हें तमिलनाडु ले जाया गया और जबरन काम कराया गया। आरोपियों ने उनकी रिहाई के लिए पैसे मांगे, और परिवारों ने PhonePe के जरिए ₹16,000 ट्रांसफर किए। पैसे देने के बावजूद मजदूरों को रिहा नहीं किया गया, जिसके बाद परिवारों ने उनकी सुरक्षित वापसी के लिए पुलिस और जिला प्रशासन से शिकायत की।
