Opposition leader Pinarayi Vijayan has urged the Kerala government to immediately address expatriate concerns over a sharp increase in premiums for the NoRKA Care insurance scheme. He criticized the UDF government's policy, stating it removes support for expatriates already facing hardship. The premium for a ₹5 lakh family floater policy has surged from ₹13,411 to between ₹35,664 and ₹77,773, creating an unbearable financial burden. Vijayan argued the government is siding with insurance companies instead of negotiating, potentially jeopardizing the scheme.

विपक्ष के नेता पी. विजयन ने केरल सरकार से नोर्का केयर बीमा योजना के प्रीमियम में हुई भारी वृद्धि को लेकर प्रवासी भारतीयों की चिंताओं को तुरंत दूर करने का आग्रह किया है। उन्होंने यूडीएफ सरकार की नीति की आलोचना करते हुए कहा कि यह पहले से ही कठिनाइयों का सामना कर रहे प्रवासी भारतीयों के लिए समर्थन को हटा देती है। ₹5 लाख की फैमिली फ्लोटर पॉलिसी का प्रीमियम ₹13,411 से बढ़कर ₹35,664 और ₹77,773 के बीच हो गया है, जिससे असहनीय वित्तीय बोझ पड़ गया है। विजयन ने तर्क दिया कि सरकार बीमा कंपनियों के साथ बातचीत करने के बजाय उनका पक्ष ले रही है, जिससे योजना खतरे में पड़ सकती है।
