Addressing a Police Commemoration Day event, he highlighted his government's zero-tolerance policy towards crime since 2017, asserting that police are now free from political constraints. Adityanath also mentioned the seizure of over ₹15,000 crore worth of mafia properties and announced increased allowances for police personnel, including a rise in the monthly motorcycle allowance for sub-inspectors and inspectors.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि राज्य में 2012 से 2017 के बीच 815 दंगे हुए थे, और उन्होंने इस अवधि के लिए पुलिस को कमजोर करने वाली राजनीतिक दखलअंदाजी को जिम्मेदार ठहराया। पुलिस स्मरणोत्सव दिवस के एक कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए, उन्होंने 2017 से अपनी सरकार की अपराध के प्रति शून्य-सहिष्णुता नीति पर प्रकाश डाला, और दावा किया कि पुलिस अब राजनीतिक बाधाओं से मुक्त है। आदित्यनाथ ने माफिया की ₹15,000 करोड़ से अधिक की संपत्ति जब्त करने का भी उल्लेख किया और पुलिस कर्मियों के लिए भत्ते में वृद्धि की घोषणा की, जिसमें सब-इंस्पेक्टरों और इंस्पेक्टरों के लिए मासिक मोटरसाइकिल भत्ते में वृद्धि भी शामिल है।
