Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the Modi government of imposing an "undeclared Emergency" across India. He stated that Opposition leaders will meet the Chief Justice of India on Monday to voice concerns over the crackdown on a youth-led protest in Delhi. The protest on Saturday saw thousands detained, including opposition leaders, with extensive security deployments and communication disruptions. Kharge highlighted the deployment of nearly 32,000 police and 7,500 CRPF personnel as evidence of the government's fear of the agitation.
