Bengaluru Police & BDA Prepare Alternate Roads for Ballari Road Traffic Restrictions

BDA are upgrading alternate roads to Ballari Road to manage increased traffic ahead of proposed restrictions. These restrictions are planned for short tunnel work on the airport corridor, potentially causing disruptions to travel to Kempegowda International Airport. Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh confirmed ongoing talks with the BDA to enhance alternate routes' capacity. While initial restrictions may ban heavy vehicles and buses from certain stretches, the project to replace flyovers with elevated corridors is expected to take 18 months.
