Telangana HC Orders DGP To Identify Misbehaving Police

The Telangana High Court has directed the Director General of Police to identify police officials who allegedly misbehaved with women MLAs on September 7. Justice T. Madhavi Devi modified a previous order and asked the DGP to submit a report to the Speaker for action. The court clarified that the Speaker, not the police, should handle Assembly rule violations. The High Court noted there was no allegation or evidence that the women legislators misbehaved with the police during the incident.

तेलंगाना हाई कोर्ट ने पुलिस महानिदेशक (DGP) को 7 सितंबर को महिला विधायकों के साथ कथित तौर पर दुर्व्यवहार करने वाले पुलिस अधिकारियों की पहचान करने का निर्देश दिया है। जस्टिस टी. माधवी देवी ने पिछले आदेश में संशोधन करते हुए DGP से कार्रवाई के लिए स्पीकर को रिपोर्ट सौंपने को कहा। कोर्ट ने स्पष्ट किया कि विधानसभा के नियमों के उल्लंघन से निपटने का अधिकार पुलिस का नहीं, बल्कि स्पीकर का है। हाई कोर्ट ने कहा कि ऐसी कोई शिकायत या सबूत नहीं है कि घटना के दौरान महिला विधायकों ने पुलिस के साथ दुर्व्यवहार किया था।
