The Commission emphasized that correspondence from two Commissioners was not related to policy decisions but concerned an officer's functioning.

चुनाव आयोग ने साफ किया है कि चुनावी मतदाता सूची में विशेष गहन संशोधन के फैसले पर तीनों आयुक्तों ने मिलकर सहमति जताई है। यह उन खबरों पर जवाब है जिनमें मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त और अन्य आयुक्तों के बीच मतभेद की बात कही गई थी। आयोग ने यह भी बताया कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मतदाता सूची में नाम जोड़ने वाले फॉर्म 6 में हुए बदलावों को बरकरार रखा है। आयोग ने जोर देकर कहा कि दो आयुक्तों के पत्र नीतिगत फैसलों से नहीं, बल्कि एक अधिकारी के कामकाज से जुड़े थे।
