Son Kills 70-Year-Old Father With Sickle Over Land Dispute

A 70-year-old man was allegedly murdered by his son in Banda, Uttar Pradesh, following an argument over property. The son, Neelam, reportedly demanded that his father transfer land to his name or sell it and give him the money. When the father refused and admonished him for his drinking habits and frequent quarrels, the son allegedly attacked him with a sickle. The father sustained multiple injuries to his head and neck and died shortly after. Police have arrested the accused son and recovered the weapon used in the crime.

उत्तर प्रदेश के बांदा में एक 70 साल के आदमी की कथित तौर पर उसके बेटे ने संपत्ति को लेकर हुए झगड़े के बाद हत्या कर दी। बेटे, नीलम, ने कथित तौर पर अपने पिता से ज़मीन अपने नाम करने या उसे बेचकर पैसे देने की मांग की। जब पिता ने मना कर दिया और उसकी शराब पीने की आदतों और लगातार झगड़ों के लिए उसे डांटा, तो बेटे ने कथित तौर पर दरांती से हमला कर दिया। पिता के सिर और गर्दन पर कई चोटें आईं और थोड़ी देर बाद उसकी मौत हो गई। पुलिस ने आरोपी बेटे को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है और अपराध में इस्तेमाल किया गया हथियार बरामद कर लिया है।
