Women's Premier League franchises confirmed their retentions for the 2027 season on Monday, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru releasing Grace Harris and Mumbai Indians letting go of G Kamalini. A total of 63 players were retained across the five teams ahead of the WPL 2027 player auction scheduled for October 28. RCB retained 13 players, including captain Smriti Mandhana and Ellyse Perry, while Mumbai Indians kept their core international players. The fifth edition of the tournament is set to run from January 14 to February 7, 2027.
