Tata Harrier EV Buyer Gets Refund, Compensation

A Hyderabad consumer commission has ordered Tata Select Motors to refund the price of a Tata Harrier EV, deducting 10 percent depreciation. The vehicle repeatedly suffered smart-key and central-locking issues, failing to start and stopping midway multiple times. The dealer must also pay the buyer Rs 50,000 in compensation and Rs 15,000 for costs. The order, passed on September 7, 2026, addresses persistent problems despite repairs.

हैदराबाद कंज्यूमर कमीशन ने Tata Motors को एक Tata Harrier EV का पूरा पैसा वापस करने का आदेश दिया है। इसमें 10% डेप्रिसिएशन काटा जाएगा। गाड़ी में बार-बार स्मार्ट-की और सेंट्रल लॉकिंग की दिक्कत आ रही थी, जिससे वह स्टार्ट नहीं हो पा रही थी और बीच रास्ते में बंद हो जा रही थी। डीलर को ग्राहक को 50,000 रुपये हर्जाना और 15,000 रुपये खर्च के लिए भी देने होंगे।
