Indian National Killed in Oman Attack; MEA Calls for De-escalation

An Indian national, Gandhar Nahim Ajij from Gujarat, has died after his vessel, MSV Al Jusufi, was attacked near Limah, Oman. Thirteen other Indian crew members aboard were rescued by the Omani Coast Guard. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) expressed deep concern over repeated attacks on commercial shipping in the region. The MEA urged for an immediate de-escalation of tensions and a diplomatic solution to ensure free navigation and commerce in international waterways.
