FSSAI Suspends Biolife Remedies Licence Over Food Safety Non-Compliance

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has suspended the licence of Punjab-based Biolife Remedies with immediate effect due to significant food safety non-compliance. Inspections revealed highly unsatisfactory sanitary and hygienic conditions, including pest activity, dirt, and poor maintenance in manufacturing and storage areas. The company was also found using expired flavours and lacking proper labelling and traceability for raw materials. FSSAI noted serious deficiencies in quality assurance and the absence of a satisfactory Food Safety Management System.

भारतीय खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक प्राधिकरण (FSSAI) ने पंजाब की कंपनी Biolife Remedies का लाइसेंस तुरंत प्रभाव से निलंबित कर दिया है। ऐसा खाने की सुरक्षा के नियमों का गंभीर रूप से पालन न करने के कारण किया गया है। जांच में पाया गया कि कंपनी के उत्पादन और भंडारण क्षेत्रों में साफ-सफाई और स्वच्छता की हालत बहुत खराब थी। वहां कीड़े-मकोड़े, गंदगी और खराब रखरखाव देखा गया। कंपनी एक्सपायर्ड फ्लेवर का इस्तेमाल कर रही थी और कच्चे माल की सही लेबलिंग और ट्रेसिबिलिटी का भी अभाव था। FSSAI ने गुणवत्ता आश्वासन में गंभीर कमियां और एक संतोषजनक फूड सेफ्टी मैनेजमेंट सिस्टम की अनुपस्थिति को भी नोट किया।
