Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, aged 15, has been appointed captain of the Bihar cricket team for the first two matches of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He will lead the team against Saurashtra on November 14 and Railways on November 16 in Indore. This leadership opportunity arises due to Sakibul Gani's injury. Bihar's assistant coach noted that this move prepares Sooryavanshi for the future and inspires young players. Earlier this year, Sooryavanshi also served as East Zone's vice-captain for the Duleep Trophy, which the team won.
