Hindustan Times · sports

Pakistan's cricket team has been fined five percent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate during the ODI tri-series final against Sri Lanka. Match Referees found them one over short of the required rate after considering time allowances. Captain Shaheen Afridi accepted the sanction, avoiding a formal hearing. Despite the penalty, Pakistan secured a thrilling three-wicket victory, successfully chasing a target of 326 runs with nine balls remaining, thanks to a stellar 127 from opener Fakhar Zaman.
