Bihar's food safety department has inspected 531 establishments across the state over the past three months as part of a special drive. This initiative, launched on August 27, led to cases being registered against 15 outlets and the suspension of licenses for two. Inspections covered hotels, restaurants, sweet shops, and food manufacturing units, identifying violations like improper storage and lack of hygiene. Patna saw the highest number of inspections, with spoiled food items seized and destroyed.

बिहार के खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग ने पिछले तीन महीनों में राज्य भर में 531 प्रतिष्ठानों का निरीक्षण किया है। यह विशेष अभियान 27 अगस्त को शुरू हुआ था, जिसके तहत 15 प्रतिष्ठानों के खिलाफ मामले दर्ज किए गए और दो के लाइसेंस निलंबित कर दिए गए। निरीक्षण में होटल, रेस्तरां, मिठाई की दुकानें और खाद्य निर्माण इकाइयां शामिल थीं, जिनमें अनुचित भंडारण और स्वच्छता की कमी जैसी खामियां पाई गईं। पटना में सबसे अधिक निरीक्षण हुए, जहां खराब खाद्य पदार्थ जब्त कर नष्ट किए गए।
