The Supreme Court expressed concern over restrictions imposed on a protest called by CJP in Delhi, including the closure of metro stations, railway services, and roads. Chief Justice Surya Kant emphasized that while law and order measures are necessary, they should not completely halt public movement, likening excessive action to 'using a hammer to kill a fly.' The court noted the potential disruption for commuters from Noida and Gurugram. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta assured the court that the government would review these restrictions.
