The Malda Railway Division of Eastern Railway is creatively repurposing discarded railway materials into art installations. These creations, including a diesel locomotive, Lord Ganesh, an elephant, and the railway mascot Bholu, are being placed at various locations. This 'scrap to art' initiative aims to promote the reuse of waste, enhance cleanliness, and raise awareness about sustainable resource management. The project, part of 'Swachhata Hi Seva - 2026', began at Jamalpur loco shed and is planned for expansion across other railway premises.
