Drunk American Woman Falls Into Drain, Abuses Rescuers

An American woman, heavily intoxicated, fell into a deep open drain on the service road of National Highway-48 in Delhi's Mahipalpur area. When locals rushed to help, she reacted aggressively, shouting and abusing them in English. Despite her behavior, the youths rescued her and took her to a private hospital for treatment. She sustained minor injuries due to the fall into the dirty water and mud. After receiving primary treatment, she was placed in an observation ward. The woman, a US national, was later handed over to her country's embassy.
