A BJP leader in Karnataka's Belagavi has been granted conditional bail in a case involving the alleged removal of 198 Muslim voters' names from the electoral roll. Dr. Ravi Patil, who contested the 2023 assembly elections, is accused of using Form 7 to delete names of living voters. An FIR was filed against him and 20-25 others for submitting false information and attempting to disrupt law and order. The alleged incident occurred at polling booths in Veerabhadranagar.

कर्नाटक के बेलगावी में एक बीजेपी नेता को कथित तौर पर 198 मुस्लिम मतदाताओं के नाम मतदाता सूची से हटाने से जुड़े मामले में सशर्त जमानत मिल गई है। डॉ. रवि पाटिल, जिन्होंने 2023 के विधानसभा चुनाव में चुनाव लड़ा था, पर जीवित मतदाताओं के नाम हटाने के लिए फॉर्म 7 का उपयोग करने का आरोप है। उनके और 20-25 अन्य लोगों के खिलाफ झूठी जानकारी देने और कानून व्यवस्था बिगाड़ने की कोशिश करने के आरोप में FIR दर्ज की गई थी। कथित घटना वीरभद्रनगर के मतदान केंद्रों पर हुई थी।
