FPIs Pull ₹20,974 Crore From Indian Equities
Business Standard Markets · stocks
Foreign Portfolio Investors have withdrawn ₹20,974 crore from Indian equities in September amid global uncertainties, higher US interest rates, and elevated crude oil prices. This outflow follows substantial investments in July and August. The selling is attributed to factors like the Federal Reserve's rate hikes, Brent crude exceeding $100 a barrel, and a weakening rupee. Experts note this is a global trend affecting emerging markets, not specific to India.
