US Secretary of State Marco Rubio received a briefing on the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks from Sunil Kudyadi, the Taj Hotel's security head who was present during the incident. The briefing occurred during a wreath-laying ceremony at the 26/11 memorial at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. Rubio and Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar honoured the victims, including six American citizens. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to combating terrorism and discussed deepening US-India cooperation in defence, energy, and technology.
