California Utility Bill Relief Reaches Millions

Millions of California households are receiving automatic credits on their electricity bills this summer, totaling $886 million. The California Climate Credit, funded by the state's Cap-and-Invest program, provides an average of about $75 relief per household. Credits are being issued in August and September to eligible customers of PG&E, Southern California Edison, and San Diego Gas & Electric. This change in timing aims to provide relief during months with higher electricity usage and bills.
