Vaibhav Suryavanshi Benched Again; Ranji Trophy Option Raised

Aaj Tak · sports

Young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to be overlooked for India's playing XI, even with Ishan Kishan's injury. Despite a vacant spot, the team management is hesitant to break the successful opening pair of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma. Suryavanshi's potential opportunities at the number three or four position are also being discussed, though this would require specific preparation. An alternative suggested is for him to play in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar to gain competitive match experience instead of remaining on the bench.
