आईआईटी खड़गपुर के प्रोफेसर प्लबन कुमार भौमिक ने AI के शैक्षिक उपयोग में कॉग्निटिव ऑफलोडिंग और कॉग्निटिव स्कैफोल्डिंग के बीच अंतर बताया है। ऑफलोडिंग तब होती है जब छात्र सीखने की प्रक्रिया को छोड़ कर AI को काम सौंप देते हैं, जबकि स्कैफोल्डिंग में AI छात्रों को स्वतंत्र रूप से समस्याओं को हल करने में मार्गदर्शन करता है। वह AI को केवल उत्तर प्रदाता के बजाय सीखने के साथी के रूप में वकालत करते हैं, ताकि आलोचनात्मक सोच और समस्या-समाधान कौशल को बढ़ावा मिल सके। लक्ष्य मानव बुद्धि को बढ़ाना है, उसे बदलना नहीं, जिससे AI वास्तविक सीखने के लिए एक मूल्यवान उपकरण बन सके।
