Expert Panel to Inspect Polayathode Overbridge Service Road Hazards

An expert committee will be appointed to inspect irregularities in land acquisition and potential hazards related to the service road of the under-construction Polayathode railway overbridge in Kollam. This decision follows a site visit by local officials and a petition highlighting a house protruding onto the service road alignment, creating an accident hazard. The Civil Engineering department of TKM College of Engineering will conduct the inspection and submit a report on necessary modifications and land acquisition. The State government may be asked to bear costs for additional land if required.

कोल्लम में निर्माणाधीन पोलायथोड रेलवे ओवरब्रिज की सर्विस रोड से जुड़ी भूमि अधिग्रहण की अनियमितताओं और संभावित खतरों का निरीक्षण करने के लिए एक विशेषज्ञ समिति नियुक्त की जाएगी। यह फैसला स्थानीय अधिकारियों द्वारा साइट का दौरा करने और एक याचिका के बाद आया है जिसमें सर्विस रोड के अलाइनमेंट पर एक घर के बाहर निकले होने का उल्लेख किया गया था, जिससे दुर्घटना का खतरा पैदा हो गया है। टीकेएम कॉलेज ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग के सिविल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग निरीक्षण करेगा और आवश्यक संशोधनों और भूमि अधिग्रहण पर एक रिपोर्ट सौंपेगा। यदि आवश्यक हुआ तो अतिरिक्त भूमि की लागत वहन करने के लिए राज्य सरकार से कहा जा सकता है।
