US Deports Guyanese Man Wanted For 2015 Murder In Georgetown

US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has removed Kanand Ojha, a 45-year-old Guyanese national, from the United States. Ojha was wanted by Guyanese police for an alleged murder that occurred in Georgetown on July 15, 2015. He had entered the US legally in July 2015, but his status was revoked after authorities learned of the arrest warrant. Ojha was arrested on September 8, 2025, and subsequently removed on September 18. ICE stated that removing such individuals enhances community safety.
