MP Marriage Scheme Scam: ED Attaches Rs 5.3 Cr Assets, 5,923 Cases Under Scanner

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has unearthed a Rs 30.18 crore scam in Madhya Pradesh's Marriage Assistance Scheme, provisionally attaching assets worth Rs 5.37 crore. The probe targets 5,923 suspicious cases involving fraudulent disbursal of government funds to ineligible beneficiaries using forged documents. Former Janpad Panchayat CEO Shobhit Tripathi is accused of colluding to approve these disbursals. The scheme provides Rs 51,000 for the marriages of construction workers' daughters. The ED is investigating the money laundering aspect to trace the diverted public funds.

प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ED) ने मध्य प्रदेश की विवाह सहायता योजना में ₹30.18 करोड़ के घोटाले का पर्दाफाश किया है, और ₹5.37 करोड़ की संपत्ति को अस्थायी रूप से जब्त कर लिया है। इस जांच में 5,923 संदिग्ध मामले शामिल हैं, जिनमें जाली दस्तावेजों का उपयोग करके अयोग्य लाभार्थियों को सरकारी धन के धोखाधड़ी वाले वितरण का आरोप है। पूर्व जनपद पंचायत सीईओ शोभित त्रिपाठी पर इन वितरणों को मंजूरी देने में मिलीभगत का आरोप है। यह योजना निर्माण श्रमिकों की बेटियों के विवाह के लिए ₹51,000 प्रदान करती है। ईडी सार्वजनिक धन के दुरुपयोग का पता लगाने के लिए मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग के पहलू की जांच कर रहा है।
