Union Home Minister Amit Shah has cancelled his planned two-day visit to Shillong, which was scheduled to begin on Sunday. The visit was cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances, according to a statement from Meghalaya Police. Shah was scheduled to present the President’s Police Colour to the Meghalaya Police. The ceremony, along with the awarding of medals to eligible police personnel, has been postponed. A fresh date for the event will be announced later. Shah was also expected to meet with Meghalaya BJP leaders during his trip.

केंद्रीय गृहमंत्री अमित शाह ने रविवार से शुरू होने वाली शिलांग की दो दिवसीय यात्रा रद्द कर दी है। मेघालय पुलिस के एक बयान के अनुसार, यह यात्रा अपरिहार्य कारणों से रद्द की गई है। शाह को मेघालय पुलिस को प्रेसिडेंट्स पुलिस कलर प्रदान करना था। योग्य पुलिस कर्मियों को पदक देने के साथ समारोह भी स्थगित कर दिया गया है। कार्यक्रम की नई तारीख बाद में घोषित की जाएगी। शाह अपनी यात्रा के दौरान मेघालय भाजपा नेताओं से मिलने वाले थे।
