The Indian rupee strengthened by 29 paise to trade at 94.62 against the US dollar in early trade on Wednesday. This appreciation was driven by foreign dollar inflows linked to the Jio IPO, which opened for public subscription and was fully subscribed in just 100 minutes. Analysts noted that Reserve Bank of India intervention also supported the rupee by curbing dollar demand. However, elevated crude oil prices and a firm US dollar acted as headwinds, capping further gains for the domestic currency.

बुधवार को शुरुआती कारोबार में भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 29 पैसे मजबूत होकर 94.62 पर कारोबार कर रहा था। यह मजबूती जियो आईपीओ से जुड़े विदेशी डॉलर इनफ्लो के कारण आई, जो सिर्फ 100 मिनट में पूरी तरह सब्सक्राइब हो गया था। विश्लेषकों ने बताया कि Reserve Bank of India के हस्तक्षेप ने भी डॉलर की मांग को कम करके रुपये को सहारा दिया। हालांकि, कच्चे तेल की ऊंची कीमतें और मजबूत अमेरिकी डॉलर ने घरेलू मुद्रा की और बढ़त को सीमित कर दिया।
