Madhya Pradesh Congress leaders Jitu Patwari and Umang Singhar have accused the BJP government of failing to build a strong legal case for 27% OBC reservation. They questioned the government's reliance on old data and a survey of only 10,000 people for a state of 7.26 crore. The Congress plans to fight the matter in the Supreme Court, bearing legal expenses if necessary. They also plan to launch an awareness campaign and seek involvement of senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Vivek Tankha.
