BRS Blames Congress Govt. For Drought, Cites Water & Power Failures
The Hindu · india
BRS leader T. Harish Rao has blamed the Congress government for the current drought conditions, attributing it to a failure to utilize available Godavari water and manage power generation. He stated that despite warnings about El Nino, the government did not lift sufficient water for crops and drinking needs. Furthermore, insufficient coal stocks at thermal plants have led to erratic power supply for farmers. Rao also criticized the decision to sell power from Singareni's new plant while Telangana faces a shortage.
