The Congress party has claimed victory for its student wing, the NSUI, in the recent student union elections held at the Pauri campus of Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University. Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal stated that the NSUI comprehensively defeated the ABVP, attributing the win to public dissatisfaction with the BJP's policies. He further suggested this outcome signals youth discontent and anticipates similar results in upcoming elections, including Delhi University.

कांग्रेस पार्टी ने दावा किया है कि पौड़ी कैंपस में हुए छात्र संघ चुनावों में उनके छात्र संगठन NSUI की जीत हुई है। कांग्रेस महासचिव K.C. Venugopal ने कहा कि NSUI ने ABVP को बुरी तरह हराया है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह जीत BJP की नीतियों से जनता की नाराजगी का नतीजा है। यह युवाओं की नाराजगी दिखाता है और आने वाले चुनावों में भी ऐसे ही नतीजे देखने को मिलेंगे, दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी में भी।
