Insurers Warned Against Deep Fire Risk Discounts

The insurance regulator has flagged aggressive underpricing in fire insurance, with discounts reaching up to 99% on large industrial risks. Fire insurance premiums saw a sharp decline in Q1 FY27, falling to ₹8,087 crore from ₹11,206 crore in the previous year, following robust growth in FY26.
