Jharsuguda Municipality Faces Severe Staff Shortage

Jharsuguda Municipality is critically understaffed, operating with only 20 employees against 80 sanctioned posts, resulting in a 75% vacancy rate. Key positions, including all 21 sweeper posts and four zamadar roles, remain unfilled. This severe manpower shortage is significantly impacting the delivery of essential civic services, revenue collection, sanitation, and development work execution. The vice-chairperson has urged the state government for urgent intervention to fill these vacancies and ensure uninterrupted municipal operations.

झारसुगुड़ा नगरपालिका में कर्मचारियों की भारी कमी

झारसुगुड़ा नगरपालिका में सिर्फ 20 कर्मचारियों के साथ काम चल रहा है, जबकि 80 पद स्वीकृत हैं। इसका मतलब है कि 75% पद खाली हैं। सभी 21 स्वीपर और चार जमादार के पद भी खाली हैं। कर्मचारियों की इस भारी कमी की वजह से ज़रूरी नागरिक सेवाओं, राजस्व वसूली, सफाई और विकास कार्यों पर बुरा असर पड़ रहा है। नगरपालिका की उपाध्यक्ष ने राज्य सरकार से इन खाली पदों को तुरंत भरने और नगरपालिका के काम को सुचारू रूप से चलाने के लिए दखल देने की अपील की है।
