The syllabus committee, reconstituted after the BJP's rise to power, supports reintroducing the system and will discuss it after the festive season. पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री सुवेंदु अधिकारी ने राज्य के स्कूलों में पास-फेल सिस्टम को फिर से लागू करने के लिए व्यक्तिगत समर्थन व्यक्त किया। उन्होंने स्पष्ट किया कि कोई भी निर्णय राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (NEP) 2020 और बंगाल की सिलेबस समिति की सिफारिशों के अनुरूप होगा। बीजेपी के सत्ता में आने के बाद पुनर्गठित की गई सिलेबस समिति, इस प्रणाली को फिर से शुरू करने का समर्थन करती है और त्योहारी सीजन के बाद इस पर चर्चा करेगी। इस कदम का उद्देश्य शैक्षणिक मानकों में सुधार करना है, हालांकि ड्रॉपआउट दरों में संभावित वृद्धि के बारे में चिंताएं मौजूद हैं।
