Congress Alleges ECI Manipulating Electoral Rolls

The Congress party has accused the ECI of functioning as an "arm of the BJP." Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh stated that the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls is part of a strategy by the Modi-Shah government to "manufacture a majority." While not opposing the revision process itself, the party objects to the ECI's alleged management, coordination, and manipulation of the entire procedure.

कांग्रेस पार्टी ने चुनाव आयोग (ECI) पर "भाजपा के हाथ" की तरह काम करने का आरोप लगाया है। कांग्रेस महासचिव जयराम रमेश ने कहा कि मतदाता सूची का विशेष गहन संशोधन मोदी-शाह सरकार की "बहुमत बनाने" की रणनीति का हिस्सा है। पार्टी संशोधन प्रक्रिया का विरोध नहीं कर रही है, लेकिन वह ECI द्वारा पूरी प्रक्रिया के कथित प्रबंधन, समन्वय और हेरफेर पर आपत्ति जता रही है।
