Congress to Intensify Stir Against Special Intensive Revision in Maharashtra

Times of India · politics

The Congress party has directed its Maharashtra unit to escalate agitations across all districts as part of its campaign demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. This action stems from the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) row, with INDIA bloc members already protesting at the Supreme Court. Maharashtra Congress leaders met AICC members in Delhi and were instructed to intensify the protests back home. The party plans to gather feedback from 62,000 booth-level agents to highlight discrepancies in the SIR process and mobilize public support.
