The Tamil Nadu higher education department is currently verifying the credentials and service records of senior-most professors to appoint interim vice-chancellors for 10 state universities. These universities have submitted lists of four to seven eligible professors to the government. This move aims to fill leadership gaps until full-time VCs are appointed, with interim VCs expected to streamline academic and administrative decisions. The process involves examining professors with unblemished service records, and final decisions will require syndicate approval from the respective universities.

तमिलनाडु का उच्च शिक्षा विभाग 10 राज्य विश्वविद्यालयों के लिए अंतरिम कुलपति नियुक्त करने हेतु सबसे वरिष्ठ प्रोफेसरों की योग्यता और सेवा रिकॉर्ड की जांच कर रहा है। इन विश्वविद्यालयों ने सरकार को चार से सात योग्य प्रोफेसरों की सूची सौंपी है। इस कदम का उद्देश्य पूर्णकालिक वीसी नियुक्त होने तक नेतृत्व की कमी को दूर करना है, और अंतरिम वीसी से शैक्षणिक और प्रशासनिक निर्णयों को सुव्यवस्थित करने की उम्मीद है। इस प्रक्रिया में बेदाग सेवा रिकॉर्ड वाले प्रोफेसरों की जांच शामिल है, और अंतिम निर्णयों के लिए संबंधित विश्वविद्यालयों के सिंडिकेट की मंजूरी की आवश्यकता होगी।
