Meerut Court Convicts Woman and Lover for Husband's Murder

A court in Meerut has convicted a woman, Ravita, and her lover, Amardeep, for the murder of her husband, Amit Kashyap. The couple allegedly strangled Amit and placed a snake on his bed to stage a snakebite death. The murder occurred on April 17, 2025, and the postmortem report later revealed suffocation as the cause of death. The court will announce the sentence on October 16. This verdict comes after 16 hearings and examination of over 12 witnesses. The prosecution stated the couple conspired after their relationship was discovered.
