Form-7 Targeting Muslim Voters Surfaces in Belagavi; BLOs Allege Pressure

Bulk Form-7 applications targeting Muslim voters for deletion have surfaced in Belagavi's North Assembly constituency. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) allege they were pressured by two men, claiming to be from the City Corporation, to sign these pre-filled forms. The men allegedly impersonated an Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) to coerce the BLOs. ERO Udayakumar Basavantappa Talawar confirmed his name was falsely used and no such instructions were issued. Some BLOs signed under duress, while others refused. Local residents contacted MLA Asif Sait's office regarding the incident.
