The Supreme Court has rejected a petition demanding periodic rotation of reserved seats for SC and ST in Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. Chief Justice Surya Kant humorously advised the petitioner they were dialing the wrong number and suggested protesting or raising slogans. The court clarified that implementing rotation is the legislature's responsibility, not the judiciary's. Justices emphasized that while candidate choices might be limited, the right to vote remains intact.
