If the proposal is approved, constables could be promoted to Lance Naik after five years of service, Naik after ten years, and Havildar after fifteen years. This reform seeks to address the long delays, which currently require constables to wait 20 to 22 years for advancement. The decision on this proposal is expected within 48 hours.
