Delhi traders have appealed to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to reconsider his planned rally at Ramlila Maidan, citing potential disruption to businesses during the peak Diwali season. CTI expressed concern that the rally, expected to draw 10 lakh people and 20,000 vehicles, could halt trade worth ₹10,000-12,000 crore and impact the livelihoods of 75 lakh people. CTI Chairman Brijesh Goyal highlighted that many businesses, some over 300 years old, operate on trust and mutual affection, mirroring Gandhi's 'Mohabbat Ki Dukan' concept.
