He suggested that improved security should lead to eased restrictions, reviewed detentions, and restored civil liberties. The Mirwaiz referenced an International Crisis Group report advocating for statehood restoration and dialogue between India and Pakistan. He emphasized that peace is measured by restored trust, not just reduced violence, and highlighted the high number of arrests under UAPA in J&K since 2019.
